Obituary of Paul Adrian Shelton

Paul Adrian Shelton, 78 of Lynch Station, passed away Thursday, June 16, 2016 at his residence. He was born on Wednesday, March 2, 1938 in Pittsylvania Co., a son of the late Henry F. Shelton and Mary Wilson Shelton. He was retired from B. G. F Industries, was a veteran of the U. S. Army and a member New Prospect Baptist Church and American Legion Post # 36. He is survived by his wife, Janice Ann Clark Shelton; his daughters, Joy Caroline Shelton Hailey of Lynch Station, Lisa Shelton Satterfield & husband, Jr. of Gretna; three sisters, Jeanie Spray of Altavista, Marie Bibee of Motley, Myrtle Rowland of Pittsylvania Co. as well as five grandchildren & seven great grandchildren. The family requests those wishing to make memorials to consider a donation to New Prospect Baptist Church Family Life Center, Hurt Pentecostal Holiness Church or Boy Scout Troop # 278, Lynch Station. A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, June 26, 2016 from 6 until 8 PM at the family residence with Rev. Brady Willis & Rev. Mark Hopkins officiating. Arrangements are being handled by Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Huddleston.
